Last month the crew of the Disney Parks Podcast added a brand new kind of event to their repertoire. Now if you’re a fan of the show then you probably know that Tony and Krista host regular DPP Meetups. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Meetups, they are opportunities for fans of the show to get together with the crew and discuss all things Disney with the added bonuses of prize giveaways and exclusive early announcements of Disney Parks Podcast news and events. Sometimes these events even have special guest visitors like Robbie Sherman or Bob Gurr!

However for those fans like me, who don’t live near enough to the parks to attend these fantastic events, there had always been that small twinge of longing when another announcement went up. Well, never fear fellow long distance DPP fans! Now we can join in on the fun too. How? Through the new Disney Parks Podcast Virtual Meetups!

On Thursday, December 11th at [8:00] Fans across the country were able to log into AnyMeeting for the Virtual Meetup and Prize Giveaway. Durning the event we were able to chat with other fans as Krista brought us up to date on everything DPP. And Every 10 minutes there were exclusive gift giveaways provided by Krista, Tony and the Sponsors of the show. The gifts included a Mickey Tree Topper, a Marie Plush from the parks and a few other fantastic odds and ends (none of which came home to me, but there’s always next time!)

It was an absolute blast, and the upcoming events Krista told us about will blow any Disney fan away. But the best news coming out of the Virtual Meetup is that they will become a regular occurance in 2015! So see you in the virtual world!
