Disney Parks Podcast Show #212 – Interview With Actress and Singer Juliana Hansen

June 24, 2015 By Tony Caselnova

juliana-imageWe have a GREAT show for you this week as Tony and John interview the incredibly talented actress, singer, entertainer Juliana Hansen!

About Juliana:

Juliana is an intelligent and charming actress, who has been described as “Disney Princess turns Bond Girl” and has been compared to Amy Adams and the timelessness of Rachel McAdams.

Juliana’s career experience spans from on-camera, voice-over to recordings and theatre work, including originating roles, starring in a 1st National Tour and being a finalist on NBC’s hit reality T.V. show, “Grease, You’re The One That I Want.”

She has developed strong working relationships with Warner Brothers and Disney, as well as the two-time Oscar winning composer, Richard Sherman.

Juliana debuted her one woman cabaret show to rave reviews in Los Angeles and has just released her new album, “Juliana Hansen- Live at the Federal” on Kritzerland Records.

When she’s not acting, Juliana can be seen as a soloist in Disney In Concert, singing with Symphony Orchestras all over the world and as Disney’s newest Jasmine in Aladdin.

  • Disney Parks Podcast Show #179 – An Interview With Jeff Sherman

Jeffrey C. Sherman has an amazing career as a writer, producer, director and composer/lyricist for film and television. He is also the eldest son of composer Robert B. Sherman (the Sherman Brothers). The song “Spoonful of Sugar” from Mary Poppins was written after Jeff told his father about getting the Salk polio vaccine (via sugar cube) at school.  Along with his cousin, Gregg, Jeff directed and produced the 2009 Walt Disney Pictures feature documentary, “The Boys: the Sherman Brothers’ Story.” This film showcases the incredible career of the sibling songwriting team. In 2010, “The Boys” was chosen as the opening night screening at the first-ever Disney D23 Expo.

We were so very honored that Jeff took the time out of his busy schedule to speak with us on the Disney Parks Podcast. He chose our show to share some fascinating stories about his life and career, some of which have never been shared any where else before!

Jeff’s father made a sweet personal dedication of “The River Song” to Jeff at the recording session with Charley Pride.

Jeff wrote, produced and worked with his Dad and Uncle on one of the very first Disney Channel shows, “The Enchanted Musical Playhouse.” The Sherman Brothers wrote three of the very rarely heard original song scores and one of the scripts. Jeff wrote three of the scripts and composed one of the song scores, and produced this with Jimmy and Donny Osmond.
